Online Security

Your Responsibility

The Winnipeg Police Credit Union and its online banking system, and bill payment service providers utilize the most sophisticated and high level of security possible to protect the integrity of the Credit Union’s online banking and bill payment services.  As a result, it is highly unlikely that fraud would occur as the result of a breach of security through the secured Infonancial website that you log into.  A compromised account is usually the result of a lack of security measures on personal computers that are used by members.  Firewall protection and virus protection programs on each individual computer that members use must be updated regularly to ensure that optimal security measures are always in place.

Please familiarize yourself with each segment of “Protecting Yourself” listed to the right.  The Winnipeg Police Credit Union and its affiliates are not responsible for unauthorized access to online accounts or losses that occur as a result of members voluntarily disclosing their passwords, or the careless or improper handling, storage or disclosure by members of this information.  In the event of a suspected comprimise of your account or password, please notify us as soon as possible.

The Winnipeg Police Credit Union is pleased to provide a link to the Canada Securities Commission websites concerning Fraud Awareness. If we all work together we will be able to stamp out FRAUD!
